Downtown Springdale Alliance Welcomes the Holiday Season with Two Beloved Community Events

Springdale, AR – Downtown Springdale Alliance is kicking off the holiday season with two festive events that will fill the heart of Springdale with joy, excitement, and winter magic. Christmas on the Creek will take place on Saturday, November 29 from 12 PM to 7 PM, followed by the International Hot Cocoa Crawl on Friday, December 12 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Both events invite families, friends, and visitors to celebrate the season together in Downtown Springdale.

Christmas on the Creek has grown into a beloved tradition and a highlight of the year for the Springdale community. This free, full-day celebration features a holiday vendor market showcasing local artisans and makers, free photos with Santa at the train station (305 E Emma Ave.), live music, and the annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Shiloh Square. The event wraps up with the Christmas Parade of the Ozarks, proudly hosted by the Rodeo of the Ozarks.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors: Tyson Foods, McLarty Daniel, Cushman & Wakefield | Sage Partners, Explore Springdale, Hogeye Marathon and Relays, and Joy & Lamar Drummonds.

Following the kickoff event, the holiday fun continues with the International Hot Cocoa Crawl, one of Downtown Springdale’s most popular winter events. Hundreds of attendees will stroll through downtown, sipping a variety of hot cocoa creations – some classic, others featuring unique international flavors. Guests can enjoy the sparkling holiday lights, visit participating businesses, and discover festive specials along the way.

During the International Hot Cocoa Crawl, attendees are encouraged to stop by the Holiday Market at Mano’s, where vendors will offer chocolates, handmade gifts, a custom hat bar, and other holiday finds. Several downtown businesses will also feature special promotions that evening.

Tickets for the International Hot Cocoa Crawl are $15 for adults $10 for kids 12 and under when purchased in advance online. A limited number of tickets will be available the day of the event beginning at 5 PM at the Mile 16 sign on the Razorback Greenway (near 113 E Emma Ave.) Day of ticket pricing will be $20 for adults and $15 for kids. This is a high-demand, sell-out event each year, so guests are encouraged to secure tickets early. Tickets can be purchased HERE

The International Hot Cocoa Crawl would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors: Tyson Family Foundation, McLarty Daniel, Onyx Coffee Lab, City Lifestyle, Explore Springdale, Harps Foods, Cushman & Wakefield | Sage Partners, and Core Architects.

Funds raised from the International Hot Cocoa Crawl directly support the Downtown Springdale Alliance and its mission to enhance and promote Downtown Springdale through events, programming, and community development
